Salden is an Onchain payroll protocol. We are committed to handling your data with transparency and minimal collection. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how it is protected.
Salden collects only what is necessary to operate the payroll service. When you connect a wallet, we record your public wallet address — this is needed to interact with smart contracts on Arc Testnet. If you provide an email address for OTP login or invoice delivery, it is stored securely and used only for those purposes. We do not collect names, phone numbers, or any other personal identifiers beyond what you explicitly provide.
Employee data you enter (names, department, salary, wallet address) is encrypted client-side before being uploaded to IPFS. Salden servers never see this data in plaintext.
Your wallet address is used exclusively to interact with Salden smart contracts and to look up Onchain state relevant to your account. Your email is used only to send OTP login codes and payroll invoice emails via Resend. We do not use your data for advertising, analytics profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the service.
Transactions submitted to the Arc Testnet blockchain are public and permanent by the nature of blockchain technology. This includes batch payment transactions, contract deployments, and agent authorisations. Salden has no ability to delete or modify Onchain data.
Encrypted employee records are stored on IPFS. The content identifier (CID) is anchored to the SaldenRegistry smart contract. Only the account that encrypted the data — or an authorised AI Agent — can decrypt and read it. Salden does not hold decryption keys.
Salden uses Resend (resend.com) for transactional email delivery and Circle (circle.com) for developer-controlled wallet infrastructure used by the AI Agent. We use Google AI (Gemini 2.5 Flash) for the AI Agent's language capabilities. No personal data beyond what is strictly necessary for each service's function is shared with these providers.
OTP codes are stored in memory only and expire after 10 minutes. Local application state (employees, groups, settings) is stored in your browser via IndexedDB and remains on your device. We do not maintain a central database of user records. Clearing your browser data will remove all locally stored Salden data from your device.
Salden does not use tracking cookies or analytics cookies. We do not serve advertisements. The service may use minimal session-related browser storage strictly necessary for authentication.
You can remove your email from our system at any time by contacting privacy@salden.xyz. Since most of your data lives in your own browser or on the blockchain, you retain direct control. You may clear all local data at any time via Settings.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the Salden app interface. Continued use of Salden after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
